Thong Guan Industries, Asia-Pacific`s largest stretch
film producer, is to spend $9
million on the expansion of its plastics packaging
operations in China and Malaysia,
including the construction of a new $5m plant in
Suzhou, China.
The new plant will produce stretch films and industrial
bags for the domestic market in
China and the company expects the new facility to
push its Chinese contribution to
group revenue up 35 per cent in 2006 from the current
20 per cent.
A further $4m will be used to add production lines
to boost plastics packaging capacity
at Thong Guan`s Sungai Petani plant.
